Jeff Garton,


Jeff is one of the most sought after DP/Directors in the region. Coming up as a gaffer and DP, he traveled extensively in the 90's for National Geographic, Discovery and Nova. In 2004, he wrote, directed and produced an award-winning short titled Lift. This work propelled his career into overdrive. As a commercial director/dp, he has worked for agencies on both coasts and their clients: Highmark, UPMC, Cub Cadet, Consol Energy, Burt's Bees, King's Restaurants, Mylan, University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, The Pittsburgh Penguins, Transitions Optical, Liberty Mutual, and William Morrow. His series of television spots for Robert Morris University were awarded a Gold Addy in 2011.

Recent DP feature work includes The Chief (2010) starring Tom Atkins, Riddle (2011) with Val Kilmer, and The Sibling (2012) starring Mischa Barton and Michael Clarke Duncan.

His last short film Lift played in over 40 film festivals worldwide, including the Montreal Film Festival, Cinequest, The Paris Film Festival, the Palm Spring Festival of shorts and Methodfest.  It earned 22 awards.
